Here is a hilarious roundup of old news from Newshounds, the good people who watch FOX so we don't have to. (No I don't work for them, but I love them.) I tried GOOGling for a picture of Linda Allison but was unable to find one. I also suspect that this young girl may be her daughter. I think she is very pretty and will be a knockout when she grows up. This probably has not been used very much by TMI because by Mountain Brook standards, a Hooter's shirt would be considered declasse', almost like showing Beth or Nat in the uniform of a bowling team. She wore a close-fitting peach-colored sweater with a fairly low V-neck. She's another attractive blonde, by the way. After Allison, we saw Mrs. Van Der Sloot, mother of one of the suspects. She's blonde, too, but not so attractive. She's not one of the heroes of the story so it's OK. The camera didn't stick with her very long, anyway, before going back to Allison in peach, her long hair blowing in the trade winds, standing picturesquely in front of a group of palm trees. At the bottom of the hour (after a news break with attractive blonde reporter Laurie Dhue), the show took a seven-minute break to talk about God vis a vis yesterday's Supreme Court decisions on the Ten Commandments. The only guest was Roy Moore, former Chief Justice of the Alabama Supreme Court described as "the hero of the Christian Right" by CBS News. In 2003, Moore ordered a monument of the Ten Commandments installed in Alabama's Supreme Court. A federal court ordered the monument removed and Moore was forced to resign from the bench. Hardly someone likely to provide a fair and balanced review of the court's decision. My expectations were more than met. Relating yesterday's decision on the Ten Commandments to last week's decision on eminent domain, Moore said, "When you distance yourself from an acknowledgment of God, your life, liberty and property are in jeopardy... When the state takes the place of God, then the state starts taking your property for economic purposes." Before long, however, it was back to Natalee Holloway and another babelicious interview, this time with Harris Faulkner, of "A Current Affair," in a turquoise tank top.
